webs divine: design notes

Just like most web designers, we learn something new every day. Some of the insights are fairly simple, while others are more complicated. As we go along, WEBS DIVINE plans to share our tricks, hints and tips in Design Notes.

TEXT DOCUMENTS: REMOVE NUMBER FROM 1ST PAGE ONLY (Word)

Quite often with large documents in Microsoft Word, a page number is not needed for the title (or cover) page but are required on the rest of the pages.

To exclude a page number from showing on the first page of a document only, use the following steps:

Open document in Microsoft Word.

On Page Layout tab, click Page Setup Dialog Box Launcher, and then Layout tab.

Under Headers and footers, select Different first page check box, then click OK.
